Jordans First School

Jordans First School is a small village school, chosen by many parents for its "welcoming and caring environment in which pupils are value and respected and positive values and attitudes are promoted" (OFSTED).
The school seeks to provide a warm structured environment where learning is a pleasure and where young children can develop self-confidence, individuality and a sense of responsibility.

Community
The School is situated at the end of Puers Lane and is very much part of the local community. Sports day is held on the village green and the school provides a country dancing display at the annual village fair. Historical and geographical studies make good use of local resources including the village shop and the Friends Meeting House. Local residents contribute in many ways to the school, sharing memories of the past as well as contributing many practical skills.
The school is also a thriving community within itself. There is an active Parents Association which organises social and fundraising events. Many children have previously attended the nearby Jordans Nursery School.
Opportunities to visit the school are provided at regular "Come and See" mornings, details of which can be obtained by phoning the school secretary
